AND THE SAGA CONTINUES: it may have taken Square seven years to realize that of all the Final Fantasy's, FFVII was the nest egg, but they have, and as a result, fans have been barraged with FF games and movies, delving deeper, perhaps too deep, into the story. Square must be determined to leave no question unanswered. Set to be released Spring 07 for Playstation Portable, Crisis Core's focus is Zack. It seems that Zack was more informed about the situation with Sephiroth, Shinra, and the Planet before his death than FFVIIlet on. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE: If you squint at this picture, you can see Zack's sword is very narrow, while his mentor, Angeal's sword looks like the infamous buster sword. So Zack gets his sword from his mentor, in turn Zack's sword is used by Cloud? Just speculation But more importantly the Japanese at the bottom of this capture Angeal tells Zack that: [Teki ha yo wo kurushimeru mono subete], Our enemy is anything that causes the Planet to suffer, which furthers my suspicions that Zack knew this problem went beyond Sephiroth losing his mind. Seeing that Tseng had been after Aeris since she was small, I wonder if Zack knew anything about Aeris or that the Turks were after her. If Zack did know, in my opinion, his personality type wouldn't have cared for the details, Zack would just go smite down the baddies and the world would be saved, ta-da! Maybe Zack knew too much and that's why Shinra wanted him back so badly. Who knows...
