Why ImaSoko?
I'm not very much into anime. It's just so bloated with ridiculousness in my opinion. When I watch anime, it's usually something bizarre or hitting close to home. So ImaSoko, Mushishi, Grave of Fireflies, anime like that are right up my ally. ImaSoko is poignant and has something to say; it isn't filled with half naked big breasted girls magically changing outfits, sparkles, bishounen, and transparent plots. It's deep and heavy hitting. Every episode, things just seem to get worse and worse and there really isn't a happy ending: Sara's family will never know what became of her, Nabuca never got the chance to go home, Boo dies, LaLa-Ru dies in a sense...
