Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow; no tomorrow, no tomorrow

Despite being so fragile, so transient... the years and months composing ten billion years ...are, to the point of sorrow, endearing

Episode 8: Two Lone Souls

Hamdo is bandaged up and gulping water. He is calls Abelia a useless bitch for allowing LaLa-Ru to get away and not killing Shuu. Abelia tells him that with the water from LaLa-Ru's attack, they can move/ levitate Heliwood one more.

The soldiers are moving the water, by buckets, into the lower level of Heliwood. Nabuca and Boo reflect on Shuu and Nabuca tells Boo he is probably dead.

There was a sandstorm during the night so Shuu and LaLa-Ru waited it out in a cave. LaLa-Ru sits inside, zoned out. Using the pendent made her tired. She finally rises and they get on the glider and ride off.

Shuu has been casts down into a pit. From above Tabur mocks him dropping his food to the ground so he can't eat it. He tells Shuu he will be executed along with Sara. Tabur throws the food bowl down hitting Shuu in the head. Wastes comes from a pipe above, covering Shuu with waste. He lies there, dejected. As they cross the desert , a weird tentacle *think Tremors* rises from the dirt and follows them. It grabs the hovercraft and drags into the earth. As they run it grabs LaLa-Ru's foots and tries to drag her off. Shuu tells her to climb a wall but she falls. Shuu is able to use a knife he finds off a dead soldier and slices the creature's mouth, sending it away.

As they are resting atop a high stone pillar, LaLa-Ru tells him that the monster was after her pendant. He tells LaLa-Ru she should use the pendant to give people water. She refuses telling him even if they thank her, they would only use up all the water then demand more and lock her up. Every time she uses the pendant she gets weaker. Then the people would start to fight and kill each other. Shuu explains that there are good people, but LaLa-Ru says they are all dead and she will not waste her life for everyone else's sake anymore.

When Shuu awakes LaLa-Ru is sitting at the edge of the pillar watching the sunrise. She tells Shuu she prefers the sunset, but Shuu tells her the sunrise is better for the excitement of a new day. He jumps off the cliff to get the bike and the creature attacks. It grabs Shuu but LaLa-Ru takes the knife and hacks its tentacle. They re-climb the pillar. At the top he thanks LaLa-Ru telling her he is sincerely thankful.

Laying down, Shuu says he is hot, and LaLa-Ru stand over his face to shadow him. Below Shuu sees a bag and when he goes down to retrieve it the monster attacks again. LaLa-ru runs off and find that she is at a height where the tentacle cannot reach so Shuu runs off to join her. They find nothing to eat or drink in the bag only a doll. Suddenly there's an explosion of dirt. The creature has unburied its body and runs to the pillar LaLa-Ru and Shuu are on, ramming it, trying to knock it over. A tentacle grabs LaLa-Ru. The tentacle grabs the 'doll' and eats it but it was really a bomb. The monster is destroyed

Shuu awakes to water dripping on his face. He awakes to LaLa-Ru dangling her pendant over his face, giving him water. Shuu thanks her and they begin their walk through the desert. He tells LaLa-Ru once more there are good people still in the world.
