Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow; no tomorrow, no tomorrow
Despite being so fragile, so transient... the years and months composing ten billion years ...are, to the point of sorrow, endearing
Episode 2: A Boy and a Mad King
Tabur is grinding LaLa-Ru's head into the floor with the heel of his boot. Until Nabuca pushes him away and warns him to stop. We seen the tension between the boys; as Nabuca turns to walk away Tabur kicks LaLa-Ru in the side eliciting a cry and Nabuca turns and the boys glare at each other.
In another room, Abelia realizes that LaLa-Ru isn't wearing her pendent
Shuu manages to pull himself up and back into Heliwood. As he wonders the walkways, he comes across Nabuca and Boo, and runs away as Nabuca gives chase. Tabur see Shuu as he runs and goes after him as well. As Nabuca catches Shuu they tumble down stairs Shuu's stick is flung across the walkway as is Nabuca's sword. During the hand to hand combat, Nabuca is knocked from the walkway and would have fallen to his death-- had Shuu not pulled hi up. As they catch their breathe, Tabur appears and gun bucks Shuu who then collapses.
LaLa-Ru is laying in a bed in a room filled with food, staring at the ceiling unblinking. Abelia comes in and tells her they caught Shuu and will find where he hid the pendent. After Abelia leaves, LaLa-ru goes to the window and rubs her hand across the sunset lit pane.
Shuu awakes tied to a chair and Hamdo asks for the pendent. When Shuu tells him he doesn't know where it is, Hamdo rips at Shuu's head. He tells Shuu Heliwood's future depends on water if Heliwood is to win the war. It's clear that Hamdo is insanely paranoid. During his rant, Hamdo twists his cats neck and flings the dead creature at Shuu. As he beats Shuu, Abelia comes in, and Hamdo collapses hugging Abelia's legs.
In the soldier's quarters, Nabuca is replaying the scene with Shuu and how his life was saved as Tabur boasts of war and power.
The badly beaten Shuu is thrown into a prison cell.
